J. Cameron

Have you wondered what money is? Why are people willing to spend hours to obtain this thing called money? There are people in this world who steal to get money while and there are those who sell their own body to earn quick bucks.

Is money really the root of all evil?

Let's try dissecting money and see what's beneath it all.

Take out your money from your wallet and actually look at it. If you burn them (which I don't reccomend you doing), the bills will become ash and the coins will become deformed. Now if you were to take it to a store and try to pay your groceries with them, they wouldn't accept it. Why?

Because it becomes unrecognizable (in more ways than one). Money is just a tool. The elements that make up money isn't worth much. However, when it takes form of a currency, that is when our eyes start to grow bigger. It is what you can do with it that gives it value to them.

For example, let's take a block of stainless steal. By simply molding it into certain shapes, it can become a hammer or other useful tools we can use.

Don't be too caught up trying to make money. As Benjamin Franklin once said, " Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. You must be thinking "yeah yeah yeah. I know life's short." But how many people do you think actually live a full, complete life? Sadly, not many.

You know, we all have one life to live. So might as well make it a rewarding journey.

Many of us get carried away trying to obtain the material things in life- whether it's a brand new car or trying to keep up with all the latest gadgets that floods the market.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's great to pamper yourself, but if it's costing you half of your life to get there, maybe it's not worth taking that trip.

Maybe it's about time we take a look at where we're headed and sort out our priorities. I know life is not all about joy and laughter. To postpone or delay needlessly.

Procrastination is deadlier than you think. No really, it is.

Well here's a story: Ginny and Timmy are both crazy about fishing. They live to fish. Ginny meticoulously packs her fishing gear the night before. Timmy, being the lazy guy, decides he'll just wake up early and pack the next day. He's been fishing for 11 years, so he knew exactly what to bring along anyways.

Ginny and Timmy both dream of having a great fishing trip.

The familiar alarm goes off beside Timmy's bed. As usual, Timmy hits the snooze button and goes back to sleep in his fluffy, comfortable bed. After hitting the snooze button for the third time, he realizes that he hasn't packed for his fishing trip and that he had lost valuable packing time hitting the snooze button three times (sounds kinda familiar?).

Timmy misses the first boat out to the fishing location. By the time he took the second boat, the tide was getting low.

That day, Ginny caught her biggest catch ever. Timmy caught none.

Timmy went to bed on an empty stomach that day.

THE END

Don't let procrastination get to you. It's an easier way out, but it may not be the best route to take. Solution? Try prioritizing what's really important to you and don't stray off your course to obtaining that goal.

No one likes an angry fish

Thought of the day:

Do fish feel anger? Why are we capable of feeling anger? What's the use for it?

I'm no scientist, so I can't really tell you for sure if fish have any emotions at all. But wouldn't it be interesting if we could read their minds? I can make a sequel - What Fish Want, starring Mel Gibson.
If you have spent hours in front of a fish tank before [I'm not saying that I have], you might wonder if they are even thinking at all, circling around the tank blowing bubbles ( but I'm sure they are well-calculated bubbles).

That made me start thinking... I've never really seen an angry fish, but I've seen plenty of angry individuals- yelling, shoving, hitting, and resorting to other forms of gruesome violence. Some resources say you lose your sanity the moment anger takes over. Scary huh... that means you might do something you'll regret later on when you're not angry.

Here's a scenario:

A lady cuts in front of you after you have been queuing for hours (around 4 and 1/2 to be exact) for the opening to the Great Singapore Sale at some hip electronics store where you know the deals are amazing and ridiculously below retail price (ie. first 100 IPod's selling at $1). You have two choices: yell out "OI!!" and unleash your mighty power of wrath, summoning horrific-looking demons from the dark side or resolve the problem diplomatically.

98% of the people will unleash their mighty power of wrath. The severity of the damage will vary with people, but the turnout will be ugly none-the-less.

No one likes an angry fish... No one likes an angry human being either. So when you feel anger creeping up inside you waiting to explode, let it out diplomatically (and no, biting does not count).

Show me a fish clothed

Thought of the day:

[Try to give it a serious thought to this not so serious question.
